I was planning to skip rice cereal since Jocelyn never cared for it, but I'm glad we didn't (good decision, Lee!) because Robbie is a big fan. We're not regularly giving solids yet (only about two-three times a week right now), since he's only five-and-a-half months old and since it's easier to stick with nursing most of the time. But we have now successfully introduced something that didn't come from momma into his belly!

Smiles & toys!

Hannah and Robbie are just a few weeks apart, and Kristen and I like to hang out for playdates (for, umm, the kids... or somethin' like that) when we can. Last time, her momma was in town, so we had three kids and three adults ... nice ratio, huh?

I wasn't so great at taking pictures. However, when Jocelyn insisted on bringing Hannah EVERY single one of her toys, that reminded me to get the camera out. Note the face Jocelyn made when prompted to smile, and note the pile of toys on the couch behind her (and, while you're doing that, picture Hannah submerged in that pile ... since that's where she was before her grandmother rescued her from being buried alive).

It's a good thing she has Aunt Laurie!

On the Facebook quiz titled "How girly are you?" I got 0%. The results said I was probably a man. While I'm not sure I'd go that far, I'm much more tomboy than girly, much more tees-and-jeans than dresses. So, when it comes to stuff like painting her nails, it's a good thing Jocelyn has Lee's sister Laurie. (And, yes, in our house it's AWnt not Ant. The "u" is there for a reason, folks. Ants are creepy crawling creatures; aunts are relatives. And, yes, I just identified myself as not being a true Southerner. I'm okay with that. And I don't like collards either.)
